A stimulus can be defined as a action that accelerates a physiological response. The aim of training is to create a stimulus within the body to give you the adaption your looking for.
Why is creating a stimulus important?
The stimulus will great a adaptation within the body. The adaptation is what will take you one step close to reaching your goals. If you do not continue to great a new stimulus every 4 - 6 weeks you will plateau and not progress.
How can I great a new stimulus
There are many ways to create a new stimulus. Before I give you any ideas it's important to note that if you aren't keeping a record of your current workout routine it will be very hard to know what the correct next step is. Keep a record of your weights, rest periods, times, intensity ECT.
